A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

Almost-everywhere injectivity in nonlinear elasticity
SynopsisThis paper gives a sufficient condition for almost-everywhere injectivity for nonlinear three dimensional elasticity similar to that of Claret-Necas [8], namely. We prove that this relation is maintained under the weak convergence of minimising ...

Low‐Fraction Irregular Inclusions Trigger Large Compression Stiffening in Biopolymer Hydrogels
Irregular inclusions at low filler fractions trigger large compression stiffening in biopolymer hydrogels. By promoting contact‐network formation under compression, these inclusions induce non‐affine rearrangements, stretch surrounding fibers, and provide parallel load‐bearing pathways.

Packed hydrogel microfiber (PHM) materials consist of flexible and high aspect ratio hydrogel components that, as a bulk material, are simultaneously mechanically robust and dynamic. Cells cultured in or on PHM scaffolds can be influenced by topographical cues or interact with a dynamic environment that permits cell spreading and multicellular ...

Rayleigh Wavetrains in Nonlinear Elasticity
The initial formulation of the evolution equation for the leading order approximation in nonlinear elasticity in the weakly nonlinear regime goes back to [Lar83]. Moreover, Lardner identified the appropriate scaling for nonlinear effects to appear in the

This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...
