Field-induced Berry connection and anomalous planar Hall effect in tilted Weyl semimetals
We propose the linear and nonlinear anomalous planar Hall effect (APHE) in tilted Weyl semimetals in the presence of an in-plane magnetic and electric field, where the field-induced Berry connection plays a key role.

A multiscattering series for impedance tomography in layered media [PDF]
We introduce an inversion algorithm for tomographic images of layered media. The algorithm is based on a multiscattering series expansion of the Green function that, unlike the Born series, converges unconditionally.

Fundamental nonlinear theory for micropolar electrically conducting fluids.
In this paper, a new theory for micropolar electrically conducting fluids is presented by unifying the theories of micropolar fluids and electrically conducting fluids. This theory makes it possible to treat both magnetic and dielectric properties simultaneously.

A Review about the Modeling and Simulation of Electro-Quasistatic Fields in HVDC Cable Systems
In comparison to high-voltage alternating current (HVAC) cable systems, high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems have several advantages, e.g., the transmitted power or long-distance transmission.

Colossal switchable photocurrents in topological Janus transition metal dichalcogenides
Nonlinear optical properties, such as bulk photovoltaic effects, possess great potential in energy harvesting, photodetection, rectification, etc. To enable efficient light–current conversion, materials with strong photo-responsivity are highly desirable.

Sliding motion of a two-dimensional Wigner crystal in a strong magnetic field
We study the sliding state of a two-dimensional Wigner crystal in a strong magnetic field and a random impurity potential. Using a high-velocity perturbation theory, we compute the nonlinear conductivity, various correlation functions, and the ...

Anomalous electron heating effects on the E region ionosphere in TIEGCM [PDF]
We have recently implemented a new module that includes both the anomalous electron heating and the electron‐neutral cooling rate correction associated with the Farley‐Buneman Instability (FBI) in the thermosphere‐ionosphere electrodynamics global ...

Holographic conductivity for logarithmic charged dilaton-Lifshitz solutions
We disclose the effects of the logarithmic nonlinear electrodynamics on the holographic conductivity of Lifshitz dilaton black holes/branes. We analyze thermodynamics of these solutions as a necessary requirement for applying gauge/gravity duality, by ...

Quantum theory of the third-order nonlinear electrodynamic effects in graphene
The linear energy dispersion of graphene electrons leads to a strongly nonlinear electromagnetic response of this material. We develop a general quantum theory of the third-order nonlinear local dynamic conductivity of graphene $\sigma_{\alpha\beta\gamma\
