On a class of anisotropic nonlinear elliptic equations in $\mathbb R^N$

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Analysis, 2008
The authors prove some imbedding results relative to weighted Sobolev spaces with weights of the type \(| x| ^s\). The results obtained are used to find the ground state solutions of nonlinear elliptic equations with anisotropic coefficients.

A frequency-domain approach to the analysis of stability and bifurcations in nonlinear systems described by differential-algebraic equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A general numerical technique is proposed for the assessment of the stability of periodic solutions and the determination of bifurcations for limit cycles in autonomous nonlinear systems represented by ordinary differential equations in the differential ...

Existence of solutions of nonlinear differential equations with $\psi$-exponential or $\psi$-ordinary dichotomous linear part in a Banach space

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2014
In this article we consider nonlinear differential equations with $\psi$-exponential and $\psi$-ordinary dichotomous linear part in a Banach space. By the help of the fixed point principle of Banach sufficient conditions are found for the existence of ...

Existence of a random attractor for non-autonomous stochastic plate equations with additive noise and nonlinear damping on R n $\mathbb{R}^{n}$

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2020
Based on the abstract theory of pullback attractors of non-autonomous non-compact dynamical systems by differential equations with both dependent-time deterministic and stochastic forcing terms, introduced by Wang in (J. Differ. Equ. 253:1544–1583, 2012),

An oscillation theorem for the nonlinear degenerate elliptic equation in the Heisenberg group

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2021
The aim of this paper is to study the oscillation of solutions of the nonlinear degenerate elliptic equation in the Heisenberg group H n $H^{n}$ . We first derive a critical inequality in H n $H^{n}$ . Based on it, we establish a Picone-type differential

Category of nonlinear evolution equations, algebraic structure, and r-matrix

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2003
In this paper we deal with the category of nonlinear evolution equations (NLEEs) associated with the spectral problem and provide an approach for constructing their algebraic structure and r-matrix. First we introduce the category of NLEEs, which is composed of various positive order and negative order hierarchies of NLEEs both integrable and ...

Nonlinear Impulsive Differential Equations with Weighted Exponential or Ordinary Dichotomous Linear Part in a Banach Space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2015
We consider nonlinear impulsive differential equations with ψ-exponential and ψ-ordinary dichotomous linear part in a Banach space. By the help of Banach’s fixed-point principle sufficient conditions are found for the existence of ψ-bounded solutions of

On the oscillation of second order nonlinear neutral delay difference equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2008
In this paper sufficient conditions are obtained for oscillation of all solutions of a class of nonlinear neutral delay difference equations of the form $\Delta^2(y(n)+p(n)y(n-m))+q(n)G(y(n-k))=0$ under various ranges of $p(n)$. The nonlinear function $G,

On C-To-R-Based Iteration Methods for a Class of Complex Symmetric Weakly Nonlinear Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
To avoid solving the complex systems, we first rewrite the complex-valued nonlinear system to real-valued form (C-to-R) equivalently. Then, based on separable property of the linear and the nonlinear terms, we present a C-to-R-based Picard iteration ...

Partially integrable nonlinear equations with one higher symmetry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In this letter, we present a family of second order in time nonlinear partial differential equations, which have only one higher symmetry.
