B\"acklund transformations: a tool to study Abelian and non-Abelian nonlinear evolution equations
The KdV eigenfunction equation is considered: some explicit solutions are constructed. These, to the best of the authors' knowledge, new solutions represent an example of the powerfulness of the method devised. Specifically, B\"acklund transformation are

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

Multi-Wave and Rational Solutions for Nonlinear Evolution Equations [PDF]
Nonlinear evolution equations always admit multi-soliton and rational solutions. The Burgers equation is used as an example, and the exp-function method is used to eluciadte the solution ...

Approximations for Weakly Nonlinear Evolution Equations [PDF]
Convergence of approximations for a large class of weakly nonlinear parabolic and hyperbolic equations is proven. The main emphasis is on proving convergence of finite element and spectral Galerkin approximations of solutions to the weakly nonlinear wave equation \[ u ( t ) + A u ( t

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Regularization for optimal control problems associated to nonlinear evolution equations [PDF]
It is well-known that in the case of a sufficiently nonlinear general optimal control problem there is very frequently the necessity for a compactness argument in order to pass to the limit in the state equation in the standard ``calculus of variations''
