We extend Walsh's theory of martingale measures in order to deal with hyperbolic stochastic partial differential equations that are second order in time, such as the wave equation and the beam equation, and driven by spatially homogeneous Gaussian noise.

Optimal Grazing Exclusion Duration to Enhance Soil Carbon Sequestration in Degraded Grasslands
Across China, grazing exclusion reaches the national mean soil organic carbon recovery benchmark sooner in high‐MAP regions (> 500 mm), but recovery is much slower where MAP < 300 mm. Scaling this strategy to 70% of China's degraded grasslands would sequester about 1.52 Pg of soil carbon over 10 years—roughly 17% of annual global fossil‐fuel emissions.

PAIR: Reconstructing Single‐Cell Open‐Chromatin Landscapes for Transcription Factor Regulome Mapping
scATAC‐seq analysis is often constrained by limited sequencing depth, extreme sparsity, and pervasive technical missingness. PAIR is a probabilistic framework that restores scATAC‐seq accessibility profiles by directly modeling the native cell–peak bipartite structure of chromatin accessibility.

AbstractHere, we consider here Hyperbolic Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations (HNLS) that occur as asymptotic models in the modulational regime when the Hessian of the dispersion relation is not positive (or negative) definite. We review classical examples, well-known results, and main open questions.
