For system of hyperbolic equations of second order a nonlinear boundary value problem with integral condition is considered. By introducing new unknown functions the investigated problem is reduced to an equivalent problem involving one-parametered ...

Integrable Equations in Nonlinear Geometrical Optics [PDF]
Geometrical optics limit of the Maxwell equations for nonlinear media with the Cole–Cole dependence of dielectric function and magnetic permeability on the frequency is considered. It is shown that for media with slow variation along one axis such a limit gives rise to the dispersionless Veselov–Novikov equation for the refractive index.

Approximate Solution of an Optimal Control Dot Mobile Problem for a Nonlinear Hyperbolic Equation
In this article, we consider the approximate solution of an optimal control dot mobile problem for a system of nonlinear partial hyperbolic and ordinary differential equations with initial and boundary value conditions and a nonlinear optimality ...

Complete Integrability of Nonlinear Evolution Equations [PDF]
Summary: It is shown that a broad class of nonlinear evolution equations, which have been systematically discussed by Ablowitz, Kaup, Newell and Segur, can be described as the Hamiltonian systems and that these Hamiltonian systems are completely integrable.

In this work, we establish new fixed point theorems for w-generalized weak contraction mappings with respect to w-distances in complete metric spaces by using the concept of an altering distance function. As an application, we use the obtained results to

Generalized Bihari Type Integral Inequalities and the Corresponding Integral Equations
We study some special nonlinear integral inequalities and the corresponding integral equations in measure spaces. They are significant generalizations of Bihari type integral inequalities and Volterra and Fredholm type integral equations.

Admissibility and Nonlinear Volterra Integral Equations [PDF]
Nonlinear perturbations of linear Volterra integral equations are studied in an abstract setting which contains and generalizes some earlier results on the same problem. The perturbed problem is first written as a variation of constants equation on a Fréchet space.
