Numerical Study on Identification of Time Varying Parameters of Vibration Systems
An on-line least squares algorithm has previously been successfully applied to linear vibration systems in order to identify time varying parameters. In this article the limitations of the approach and the factors affecting the identification are further

An approximation theory for the identification of nonlinear distributed parameter systems [PDF]
An abstract approximation framework for the identification of nonlinear distributed parameter systems is developed. Inverse problems for nonlinear systems governed by strongly maximal monotone operators (satisfying a mild continuous dependence condition ...

Nonlinear System Identication through Backbone curves and Bayesian Interference [PDF]
Nonlinear structures exhibit complex behaviors that can be predicted and analyzed once a mathematical model of the structure is available. Obtaining such a model is a challenge.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

The Cramer-Rao Bound and DMT Signal Optimisation for the Identification of a Wiener-Type Model
In linear system identification, optimal excitation signals can be determined using the Cramer-Rao bound. This problem has not been thoroughly studied for the nonlinear case.

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.
