Balanced truncation of perturbative representations of nonlinear systems [PDF]
The paper presents a novel approach for a balanced truncation style of model reduction of a perturbative representation of a nonlinear system. Empirical controllability and observability gramians for nonlinear systems are employed to define a projection ...

The binary algorithm of cascade connection of nonlinear digital filters described in functional series [PDF]
The article presents an example of the use of functional series for the analysis of nonlinear systems for discrete time signals. The homogeneous operator is defined and it is decomposed into three component operators: the multiplying operator, the ...

Digital Cognitive Phenotyping for Differential Diagnosis and Monitoring in Neurological Conditions
ABSTRACT Objective To assess the utility, accessibility, and equivalence to supervised scales of online cognitive assessment in older individuals with cognitive impairment. Methods Patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD, n = 31), idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH, n = 26), and traumatic brain injury (TBI, n = 23) completed online cognitive ...

Radial symmetry for a generalized nonlinear fractional p-Laplacian problem [PDF]
This paper first introduces a generalized fractional p-Laplacian operator (–Δ)sF;p. By using the direct method of moving planes, with the help of two lemmas, namely decay at infinity and narrow region principle involving the generalized fractional p ...

Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.
