Nonlinear equations with holomorphic operators

1994
Throughout this chapter we will consider complex Banach spaces only. In this case, many local features related to the solvability of equations with operators that are differentiable in the complex sense, turn out to be global.

Parabolic equations with operator nonlinearity

Asian-European Journal of Mathematics
In this paper, we consider partial differential equations (PDE) of parabolic type with functional nonlinearity in the reaction summand. Our goal is to give the answer of the question if there exist a set of smooth functions satisfying the inequality [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] is a parabolic operator in the parabolic PDE with a ...

Nonlinear Operators, Fixed-Point Theorems, Nonlinear Equations

2015
In this article we discuss the solvability of some class of fully nonlinear equations, and equations with p-Laplacian in more general conditions by using a new approach given by Soltanov in Nonlinear Anal. 72:164–175, 2010 for studying the nonlinear continuous operator.

Generating operators for integrable nonlinear evolution equations

Journal of Soviet Mathematics, 1983
For linear problems which are associated with known, exactly integrable nonlinear evolution equations, one gives the corresponding integrodifferential Λ-operators. Relative to the expansions with respect to the elgenfunctions of Λ-operators, the method of the inverse scattering problem can be considered as the analog of the Fourier transform of linear ...

ABSOLUTE STABILITY CRITERIA FOR NONLINEAR OPERATOR EQUATIONS

Mathematics of the USSR-Izvestiya, 1977
Conditions are obtained for the stability in the large of solutions of nonlinear equations of the form (1)Here is the infinitesimal generator of a semigroup of class , the maps and are bounded linear operators, and , and are (generally different) Hilbert spaces. The equations (1) describe a wide class of distributed parameter control systems.

Operator Method of Solving Nonlinear Differential Equations

Lithuanian Mathematical Journal, 2002
The author shows how solutions of nonlinear differential equations can be represented by linear operators. A linear generalized operator and a multiplicative operator are constructed for this purpose. Some properties of these operators are presented as well illustrative examples related to solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations.

Nonlinear Operator Equations And Applications To Modelling

1990 Eastern Multiconference. Record of Proceedings. The 23rd Annual Simulation Symposium, 1990
The main purpose of this paper is to treat the problem of numerical solutions of Lyapunov matrix equations and nonlinear matrix equations such as the Riccati type which occur in many areas of applications such as in control theory, robotics, mathematical modelling and computer simulation, etc.

Doubly nonlinear equations with unbounded operators

Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 2004
The authors investigate the following nonlinear evolution system \[ \begin{align*}{& v'(t)+w(t)=\tilde{f}(t)\quad\text{for a.a. } t\in ]0,T[,\cr & v(t)\in {\cal A}(t)u(t),\quad w(t)\in {\cal B}(t)u(t)\quad\text{for a.a. } t\in ]0,T[,\cr & v(0)=v_0,}\end{align*} \] where the operators \({\mathcal A}(t)\) and \({\mathcal B}(t)\) are subdifferentials of ...

Iterative methods for nonlinear operator equations

Applied Mathematics and Computation, 1992
The authors present a nonlinear extension of the conjugate gradient method applied to the normal equations. It is assumed that the Jacobian and the Hessian of the nonlinear operator are uniformly bounded. Global and local convergence results for the nonlinear algorithms are proved and asymptotic steplength estimates and error bounds are given.
