A Novel Dynamic Absorber with Variable Frequency and Damping
Smoothness and discontinuous (SD) oscillator is a nonlinear oscillator with the variable frequency, whose frequency can be varied with the smoothing parameter. However, how to adjust the smoothing parameter has not been solved in the actual device.

Energy harvesting from vibrations with a nonlinear oscillator [PDF]
In this paper we present a nonlinear electromagnetic energy harvesting device that has a broadly resonant response. The nonlinearity is generated by a particular arrangement of magnets in conjunction with an iron-cored stator.

The frequency-amplitude formulation with ω4 for fast insight into a nonlinear oscillator
Nonlinear oscillators arise in physics and engineering. A fast insight into a nonlinear oscillator’s property is much needed. In this letter the frequency-amplitude formulation with ω4 is showed to be simple but effective in the analysis of nonlinear ...

Perturbed Nonlinear Oscillations [PDF]
For a class of nonlinear oscillation problems described by a second order ordinary differential equation containing a small nonnegative perturbation parameter $\varepsilon $ we determine asymptotic solutions which are uniformly valid as $\varepsilon \downarrow 0$ on intervals of the order of magnitude $\varepsilon ^{ - 1} $.

The amplitudes of nonlinear oscillations
The authors consider the nonlinear second-order differential equation \[ y''(t)+p(t)f(y(t))=0, ~t\geq t_0, \] where \(p\) is continuous and positive, and \(f\) is continuous with \[ uf(u)>0\text{ for } u\neq 0 \] and \[ \int_0^{\pm\infty}f(u)\,du=\infty.

A Simple Approach for Dealing with Autonomous Conservative Oscillator under Initial Velocity [PDF]
The current study is involved to analytical solution of nonlinear oscillators under initial velocity. By using energy conservation principle, system initial condition converts to condition which oscillator’s velocity become zero.

Analysis of the fractional oscillator for a mass attached to a stretched elastic wire
In this paper, we consider a fractional nonlinear oscillator for a mass attached to a stretched elastic wire. The coupling technique based on the fractional complex transform and the global residue harmonic balance method is proposed for solving this ...

Dynamics of an impact oscillator near a degenerate graze [PDF]
We give a complete analysis of low-velocity dynamics close to grazingfor a generic one degree of freedom impact oscillator. This includes nondegenerate (quadratic) grazing and minimallydegenerate (cubic) grazing, corresponding respectively to ...
