The use of Grossone in Mathematical Programming and Operations Research
The concepts of infinity and infinitesimal in mathematics date back to anciens Greek and have always attracted great attention. Very recently, a new methodology has been proposed by Sergeyev for performing calculations with infinite and infinitesimal ...

Fabrication‐Directed Entanglement for Designing Chiral and Anisotropic Metamaterial Foams
This work introduces fabrication‐directed entanglement (FDE), combining viscous thread printing and topology optimization to program entangled foams with spatially patterned stiffness. By tuning coil density, FDE enables anisotropy, programmable Poisson's ratio, and chirality in foams.

A mixed-integer linear programming approach for robust state estimation
In this paper, a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) formulation for robust state estimation (RSE) is proposed. By using the exactly linearized measurement equations instead of the original nonlinear ones, the existing mixed integer nonlinear ...

Adaptable Tile‐Based Pneumatic Origami through Structurally Coupled Localized Actuation
This article presents tile‐based pneumatic origami structures with rigid tiles and flexible fabric creases, achieving adaptable properties including morphing shape, selective multistability, and tunable stiffness. Independently pressurized folding bladders at each crease enable structurally coupled localized actuation of origami structures.

Developing Talent from a Supply–Demand Perspective: An Optimization Model for Managers
While executives emphasize that human resources (HR) are a firm’s biggest asset, the level of research attention devoted to planning talent pipelines for complex global organizational environments does not reflect this emphasis. Numerous challenges exist
