Aromaticity‐Dependent Memristive Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 7, May 2025.
The article describes a resistive switching mechanism based on the creation of virtual filaments. Research consists of experimental and theoretical data supporting the theory that resistance of the memristor can be modulated by a redox‐induced aromaticity change of a working material.

Soliton dynamics for fractional Schrodinger equations

open access: yes, 2013
We investigate the soliton dynamics for the fractional nonlinear Schrodinger equation by a suitable modulational inequality. In the semiclassical limit, the solution concentrates along a trajectory determined by a Newtonian equation depending of the ...

Multiple solutions to some singular nonlinear Schrodinger equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2001
We consider the equation $$ - h^2 Delta u + V_varepsilon(x) u = |u|^{p-2} u $$ which arises in the study of standing waves of a nonlinear Schrodinger equation.

Analytical analysis of modulation instability in fiber optics

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2012
In this paper, an improved analysis for modulation instability, which results from interaction between optical wave and noise, is presented. It is shown that Nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE), which governs this process, leads to the coupled wave ...

Modulational Instability and Dynamical Growth Blockade in the Nonlinear Hatano–Nelson Model

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 5, May 2025.
The nonlinear Hatano–Nelson model under periodic boundary conditions is investigated, revealing a novel growth blockade phenomenon triggered by the modulational instability of nonlinear plane waves. This effect, characterized by the abrupt halt of norm growth, arises from self‐induced disorder, marking a departure from the convective motion observed in

An abstract infinite dimensional KAM theorem with application to nonlinear higher dimensional Schrodinger equation systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
In this paper we consider nonlinear Schrodinger systems with periodic boundary condition in high dimension. We establish an abstract infinite dimensional KAM theorem and apply it to the nonlinear Schrodinger equation systems with real Fourier Multiplier.

Development of Efficient Covalent Inactivators of a Fungal Aspartate Semialdehyde Dehydrogenase

open access: yesDrug Development Research, Volume 86, Issue 3, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Aspartate semialdehyde dehydrogenase (ASADH) catalyzes the second step in the fungal pathway towards the synthesis of threonine, isoleucine, and methionine, and it has been identified as a viable target for antifungal drug development. Our previous work produced a group of vinyl sulfones that function as irreversible covalent inactivators of ...

Approximate Solutions for Nonlinear Initial Value Problems Using the Modified Variational Iteration Method

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
We have used the modified variational iteration method (MVIM) to find the approximate solutions for some nonlinear initial value problems in the mathematical physics, via the Burgers-Fisher equation, the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation, the coupled ...
