Ring-type singular solutions of the biharmonic nonlinear Schrodinger equation
We present new singular solutions of the biharmonic nonlinear Schrodinger equation in dimension d and nonlinearity exponent 2\sigma+1. These solutions collapse with the quasi self-similar ring profile, with ring width L(t) that vanishes at singularity ...

Three Types Generalized Zn-Heisenberg Ferromagnet Models
By taking values in a commutative subalgebra gln,C, we construct a new generalized Zn-Heisenberg ferromagnet model in (1+1)-dimensions. The corresponding geometrical equivalence between the generalized Zn-Heisenberg ferromagnet model and Zn-mixed ...

Quantum solutions of a nonlinear Schrodinger equation
In the present paper, we precisely conduct a q-calculus method for the numerical solutions of PDEs. A nonlinear Schrodinger equation is considered. Instead of the classical discretization methods we consider subdomains according to q-calculus, and provide an approximate solution due to a specific value of the parameter q.

Dispersion‐Less Dissipative Soliton Fiber Laser
A dispersion‐less fiber laser architecture generates high‐energy, pedestal‐free picosecond pulses without resorting to conventional pulse stretching. This energy‐managed laser achieves remarkable flexibility in pulse parameters, delivering up to 0.54 μJ$\mathrm{\mu}\mathrm{J}$ pulses with minimal spectral distortion using standard telecom components ...

Observation of Linear and Nonlinear Light Trapping on Topological Dislocations
Topological dislocations are global lattice defects found in various systems ranging from crystals to photonic lattices. This work reports the first observation at optical frequencies of linear modes with tunable localization bound to edge dislocations and their nonlinear counterparts ‐ dislocation solitons. These results reveal an intriguing interplay

Universality in an information-theoretic motivated nonlinear Schrodinger equation
Using perturbative methods, we analyse a nonlinear generalisation of Schrodinger's equation that had previously been obtained through information-theoretic arguments. We obtain analytical expressions for the leading correction, in terms of the nonlinearity scale, to the energy eigenvalues of the linear Schrodinger equation in the presence of an ...
