Thermal–Hydraulic Performance and Entropy Generation Analysis of a Nanoencapsulated Phase Change Material Suspension Flow Between Fixed and Rotating Cylinders Under Magnetic Field Influence

open access: yesHeat Transfer, Volume 54, Issue 8, Page 5138-5160, December 2025.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the thermal–hydraulic performance of a nanoencapsulated phase change material (NEPCM) suspension in a rectangular enclosure featuring two counterrotating cylinders positioned between three fixed hot and three fixed cold cylinders under magnetic field influence.

Effect of Magnetic Field and Temperature on the Excess Minority Carrier Density in the Base of a Radial Junction Solar Cell

open access: yesNano Select, Volume 6, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study explores how magnetic field and temperature influence excess minority carrier density in a radial‐junction silicon solar cell. Using an analytical model based on Bessel functions, key trends are revealed, including thermal insensitivity in a specific magnetic field range.

Benefits of Open Quantum Systems for Quantum Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 12, December 2025.
Quantum machine learning (QML), poised to transform data processing, faces challenges from environmental noise and dissipation. While traditional efforts seek to combat these hindrances, this perspective proposes harnessing them for potential advantages. Surprisingly, under certain conditions, noise and dissipation can benefit QML.

Electroactive Proteinoid–Quantum Dot Systems

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 5, Issue 12, December 2025.
Proteinoid‐quantum dot conjugates form toroidal nanostructures (145.2 nm outer diameter, 102.3 nm cavity) via glutamic acid‐phenylalanine‐aspartic acid‐cysteine cross‐linking with sulfo‐SMCC (sulfosuccinimidyl 4‐(N‐maleimidomethyl)cyclohexane‐1‐carboxylate).

Virtual Sensing of Wind Turbine Loads With Multi‐Hidden Markov Models for Above‐Rated Wind Speeds

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 28, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT The growing demand for wind energy necessitates efficient health monitoring strategies to ensure the long‐term reliability of wind turbines. Monitoring critical loads, such as flapwise blade root moments and tower base fore‐aft moments, is crucial for preventing turbine fatigue and failure. However, direct measurements through physical sensors
