Existence of solutions in the alpha-norm for partial functional differential equations with infinite delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2012
In this work, we prove a result on the local existence of mild solution in the $\alpha$-norm for some partial functional differential equations with infinite delay. We suppose that the linear part generates a compact analytic semigroup.

Remarks on the Generation of Semigroups of Nonlinear Operators on p-Fréchet Spaces, 0 < p < 1

open access: yesCubo, 2011
In this paper we study the convergence properties of the Crandall-Liggett sequence , for A a nonlinear operator on some important non-locally convex F-spaces (called p-Fréchet spaces with 0 < p < 1) and the generation of the corresponding strongly ...

Convergence of Difference Approximations and Nonlinear Semigroups [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1990
We give a convergence theorem for the difference approximation for the evolution equation ( d / d t ) u ( t ) ∈ A u ( t ) (d/dt)u(t) \in Au(t) and a generation theorem of nonlinear semigroups for "directed" dissipative

Existence and uniqueness of solutions of nonlinear mixed integrodifferential equations with nonlocal condition in Banach Spaces

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2011
In this article, we study the existence and uniqueness of mild and strong solutions of a nonlinear mixed Volterra-Fredholm integrodifferential equation with nonlocal condition in Banach spaces.

Dynamics of Stochastic Coral Reefs Model with Multiplicative Nonlinear Noise

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2016
Little seems to be known about the ergodicity of random dynamical systems with multiplicative nonlinear noise. This paper is devoted to discern asymptotic behavior dynamics through the stochastic coral reefs model with multiplicative nonlinear noise.

An exponential limit formula for nonlinear semigroups [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1970
In recent papers, many writers have developed the theory of semigroups of operators generated by nonlinear accretive operators. In the present paper, we construct this semigroup by means of an exponential limit formula, and then use this means of obtaining the semigroup to prove an approximation theorem that is a direct generalization of the Kato ...

Global attractors for a nonlinear viscoelastic equations with strong damping velocity-dependent material density

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems
In this paper, we study the long-time behavior of the semigroup  S ( t ) $S(t)$  generated by a nonlinear viscoelastic equation with strong damping in a bounded domain Ω of  R N $\mathbb{R}^{N}$ .

Semigroups and nonlinear evolution equations

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 1986
This paper provides a survey of recent results of the author for parabolic partial differential equations with nonlinear boundary conditions. A particular class of equations known as strongly parabolic quasilinear reaction diffusion systems is treated.

Nonlinear ergodic theorems for asymptotically almost nonexpansive curves in a Hilbert space

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2000
We introduce the notion of asymptotically almost nonexpansive curves which include almost-orbits of commutative semigroups of asymptotically nonexpansive type mappings and study the asymptotic behavior and prove nonlinear ergodic theorems for such curves.

Periodic trajectories for evolution equations in Banach spaces

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2005
The existence of periodic solutions for the evolution equation $$ y'(t)+Ay(t) i F(t,y(t)) $$ is investigated under considerably simple assumptions on $A$ and $F$.
