Analysis and Optimization of Mechanical Properties of Coconut Shell Cellulose Reinforced Polymeric Composite for Industrial Gasket Application

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
The study develops a sustainable gasket material from a mixture of treated coconut shell cellulose and epoxy matrix. Design expert statistical software was used for optimizing the mechanical properties. Chemical and thermal stability tests were performed to validate the gaskets' performance in industrial applications.

Open diffusion magnetic resonance imaging and connectivity data for epilepsy and surgery: The IDEAS II release

open access: yesEpilepsia, Volume 67, Issue 6, Page 2912-2923, June 2026.
Abstract Objective Epileptic seizures are generated in cerebral networks that propagate ictal and interictal activity. The structure of cerebral networks underpinning epileptic activity can be inferred from diffusion‐weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI).

From Waste to Functional Snack: Drying Kinetics, Neural Network Modeling, and Utilization of Tomato Pomace in Cracker Formulation

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study explores a zero‐waste circular economy approach by utilizing industrial tomato pomace as a functional ingredient in cracker production. To prepare the raw material, the drying kinetics of tomato pomace were thoroughly investigated using convective oven drying (50°C–70°C) and microwave drying (240–400 W).

Exploring the Influence of Oral‐Proximal Gastric in Vitro Digestion on Estimated Glycemic Index and Bioaccessibility of Bioactive Phenolic Compounds of Wheat‐Based Baked Products

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study investigated how oral and proximal gastric digestion influences starch breakdown, estimated Glycemic index (eGI), and the bioaccessibility of phenolic compounds in wheat‐based baked products (bread and cookies). Simulated digestion showed that prolonged human salivary α‐amylase activity increased starch hydrolysis, glucose release, and the ...
