Quasilinearization-Collocation Method for the Numerical Solution of Nonlinear Fractional Volterra Integro-Differential Equations With Logarithmic Weakly Singular Kernel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences
In this paper, we use quasilinearization technique, product integration rule, and collocation method to present a new numerical method to solve nonlinear fractional Volterra integro-differential equations with logarithmic weakly singular kernel.

Initial value problem for the time-dependent linear Schrödinger equation with a point singular potential by the unified transform method [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2018
We study an initial value problem for the one-dimensional non-stationary linear Schrödinger equation with a point singular potential. In our approach, the problem is considered as a system of coupled initial-boundary value (IBV) problems on two half ...

Powering Nanocrystal‐Based Heat Engines With Light‐Emitting Metasurfaces That Influence Their Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurfaces and other structured photonic environments can dramatically modify the absorption and/or light emission of semiconductors. However, the consequences of these changes on the temperature of the system are not well understood. The authors address this problem for colloidal nanocrystals and leverage their findings to convert light into ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

On The Approximate Solution Of A Nonlinear Singular Integral Equation

open access: yes, 2009
In this study, the existence and uniqueness of the solution of a nonlinear singular integral equation that is defined on a region in the complex plane is proven and a method is given for finding the solution.

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.
