Nonlinear Static and Dynamic Analysis of Plates
Journal of Engineering Mechanics, 1985An efficient element for static and dynamic analysis of plates including geometric effects is presented. A formulation of the “heterosis element” presented by Hughes and Cohen for linear static analysis of Mindlin plates is given. This formulation is then extended to include large displacement effects using Von‐Karman assumptions and updated Lagrangian

Nonlinear Static Analysis Method
2021This chapter presents the nonlinear static methods of analyses for seismic design of structures considered by Eurocode 8. The first method is the nonlinear pushover procedure, which is based on the N2 method. The second method is the classical nonlinear time history analysis.

Nonlinear Static Analysis of a Railway Bridge
2020One of the facilities which are crucial for each nation’s infrastructure are bridges. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the effects of earthquakes when designing bridge structures. Static nonlinear methods (e.g. pushover method) are very useful for the first preliminary check of the structure.

Static Nonlinear Analysis In Concrete Structures
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2008Push‐over analysis is a simple and applied approach which can be used for estimation of demand responses influenced by earthquake stimulations. The analysis is non‐linear static analysis of the structure affected under increasing lateral loads and specifying the displacement—load diagram or structure capacity curve, draw the curve the base shear values

Nonlinear static analysis of cable net for deployable antennas
2016 IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics (RCAR), 2016In this paper, a novel deployable cable net antenna supporting mechanism is presented and the detailed nonlinear static mechanic performance of the proposed mechanism is analyzed. By observing that the static structure of cable net system is easily influenced by the randomly external force in the actual space environment, the finite element static ...

Nonlinear static analysis of cable-stayed bridge
2010 International Conference on Mechanic Automation and Control Engineering, 2010To the middling span cable-stayed bridge with single tower, it is very outstanding for material nonlinearity which caused by nonlinear properties of the material. So we must calculate the effects of the material nonlinearity which caused by nonlinear properties of the material when we calculate the geometry nonlinear effects to many middling span cable-

Dynamic and Nonlinear Static Analysis
2018Chapter four focused on demonstration the basics of structural dynamic and explain the fundamental process to determine structural seismic response. In order to have a clear comprehending of the highlighted concepts within this book, it is tried to present the application of theories and calculation processes in a real buildings in all sections ...

Nonlinear Static Analysis of Structures with Rocking Columns
Journal of Structural Engineering, 2010In simple inelastic structures subjected to severe base motions, the maximum acceleration response is bound by the yield strength and is inversely proportional to its mass. It can be demonstrated that a similar effect is approximately produced in structures with multidegrees of freedom.

Nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of cable structures
Finite Elements in Analysis and Design, 2011This paper presents a catenary cable element for the nonlinear analysis of cable structures subjected to static and dynamic loadings. The element stiffness matrix and element nodal forces, which account for self-weight and pretension effects, are derived based on exact analytical expressions of elastic catenary.
