An analytical study on performance of a diagrid structure using nonlinear static pushover analysis
SummaryIn this study, an attempt has been made to study the performance characteristics of diagrid structures using nonlinear static pushover analysis. The models studied are circular in plan with aspect ratio H/B (where H is total height and B is the base width of structure) varying from 2.67 to 4.26.

Enhanced nonlinear static analysis with the drift pushover procedure for tall buildings
Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering, 2016In this study a new method for nonlinear static analysis based on the relative displacements of stories is proposed that is able to be implemented in a single stage analysis and considers the effects of an arbitrary number of higher modes. The method is called the extended drift pushover analysis procedure (EDPA).

A non-adaptive displacement-based pushover procedure for the nonlinear static analysis of tall building frames [PDF]
Abstract In order to account for the effect of higher modes in estimating the seismic demands of tall buildings, a non-adaptive displacement-based pushover (NADP) procedure based on structural dynamics theory is presented in this paper. The procedure utilizes some single-run conventional and enhanced pushover analyses.

Nonlinear Static Pushover Analysis for Shear Wall Structures in SAP2000 Program
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013To study the nonlinear mechanical characteristics of reinforced concrete shear wall structures under rare earthquakes, a single reinforced concrete shear wall model is established in SAP2000 program, which is simulated by nonlinear multi-layer shell element.

Nonlinear static analysis as an essential part of performance based design is now widely used especially at design offices because of its simplicity and ability to predict seismic demands on inelastic response of buildings. Since the accuracy of nonlinear static procedures (NSP) to predict seismic demands of buildings affects directly on the entire ...

A coupled connector element for nonlinear static pushover analysis of precast concrete diaphragms
Engineering Structures, 2015Abstract This paper describes the formulation of a diaphragm connector element developed for use in two-dimensional finite element (2D-FE) modeling of precast concrete diaphragms. The connector elements, composed of assemblages of standard element types readily available in most FE software package libraries, are nonlinear, coupled for shear–tension ...
