Deterministic hBN Bubbles as a Versatile Platform for Studies on Single‐Photon Emitters
Single‐photon emitters (SPEs) in hBN are promising for quantum technologies; however, in exfoliated samples their activation is required, limiting reproducibility of previous studies. This work introduces a large‐area MOVPE‐grown hBN platform that hosts SPEs without prior activation.

Nonlinear sigma model approach for phase disorder transitions and the pseudogap phase in chiral Gross-Neveu, Nambu-Jona-Lasinio models and strong-coupling superconductors [PDF]
We briefly review the nonlinear sigma model approach for the subject of increasing interest: "two-step" phase transitions in the Gross-Neveu and the modified Nambu-Jona-Lasinio models at low $N$ and condensation from pseudogap phase in strong-coupling ...

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

MAGTWIST: A compact magnetic rotary actuator, enabling smooth, stepless rotation, and on‐demand locking. Inspired by peristalsis, a soft polymer belt generates a traveling‐wave, enabling 270° rotation when heated. Cooling stiffens the belt, locking it in position and enabling it to withstand high loads.

Design of a New Nonlinear Stiffness Compliant Actuator and Its Error Compensation Method
Compliant actuators are more advantageous than stiff actuators in some circumstances, for example, unstructured environment robots and rehabilitation robots. Compliant actuators are more adaptive and safe. Constant stiffness compliant actuators have some

NONLINEAR DRIFT DEMANDS ON MOMENT-RESISTING STIFF FRAMES
• Reduce MDOF into an equivalent SDOF system using NSPs (pushover)• Determine the equivalent SDOF maximum response from an approximate procedure (DCM, CSM, MADRS etc) or directly from nonlinear response history analysis.• From this information extrapolate the MDOF deformation demands using empirical MDOF – SDOF ...

A pixelation‐free, monolithic iontronic pressure sensor enables simultaneous pressure and position sensing over large areas. AC‐driven ion release generates spatially varying impedance pathways depending on the pressure. Machine learning algorithms effectively decouple overlapping pressure–position signals from the multichannel outputs, achieving high ...
