Frequency domain analysis of a dimensionless cubic nonlinear damping system subject to harmonic input [PDF]
The effects of cubic nonlinear damping on the system output spectrum are theoretically studied through a dimensionless mass-spring-damping system model subject to a harmonic input, based on the Volterra series approximation.

This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Quantization of Nonlinear Systems
A direct method of quantization, applicable to a given nonlinear hyperbolic partial differential equation, is indicated. From such classical equations alone, without a given Lagrangian or Hamiltonian, or a priori linear reference system such as a bare or incoming field, a quantized field is constructed, satisfying the conventional commutation relations.

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

Observer Design for Nonlinear Descriptor Systems: A Survey on System Nonlinearities
AbstractIn general, the construction of observers for nonlinear descriptor systems depends on the solvability of a linear matrix inequality involving system matrices, and it is based on the system’s nonlinearity. Therefore, the type of nonlinearity present in the system heavily affects the observer design process.
