An electronic system is presented consisting of a silver thin‐film electrode on a polyimide substrate working both as a heating element and a resistive temperature sensor, generating millisecond heat pulses with very fast heating and cooling rates and a flat peak temperature with a tunable duration.

Topological-to-Topological Transition Induced by On-Site Nonlinearity in a One-Dimensional Topological Insulator [PDF]
Recent studies have extended the notion of band topology to nonlinear systems by defining nonlinear counterparts of eigenvalue problems. They have found the nonlinearity-induced topological transition, while it has required complicated nonlinearity such as off-diagonal one.

On Differential Geometric Approach to Nonlinear Systems Affine in Control [PDF]
The note focuses on the differential geometric approach to the study of nonlinear systems that are affine in control. We first develop normal forms for nonlinear system affine in control. Based on these normal forms, we then address the problems of global stabilization, semi-global stabilization and disturbance attenuation.

This perspective article explores an innovative powder metallurgical approach to producing high‐nitrogen steels by utilizing a mixture of stainless steel and Si3N4. This mixture undergoes hot isostatic pressing followed by direct quenching. The article also examines adapting this method to laser powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB/M) to overcome nitrogen ...
