Understanding and Tuning Mobile Interfaces in Ferroelectric Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 Thin Films in Relation to Microstructure

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectricity in thin HfO2‐based films offers great possibilities for next‐generation neuromorphic memory devices. There, the response to subcoercive voltage signals is driven by the movement of mobile interfaces and their interaction with crystal defects – a yet rather unexplored aspect, which we shed light on and gain new insights into the complex

FITTING A NONLINEAR MODEL TO THE PRECIPITATION VARIABLE IN A COLOMBIAN HYDROLOGICAL/METEOROLOGICAL STATION AJUSTE DE UN MODELO NO LINEAL A LA VARIABLE PRECIPITACIÓN EN UNA ESTACIÓN HIDRO-METEOROLÓGICA DE COLOMBIA

open access: yesRevista Colombiana de Estadística, 2005
In the literature on time series analysis it has been established in recent years that the hydrological/meteorological time series are well described by nonlinear models, in particular by the SETAR (Self- exciting threshold autoregressive) models.

Lithium Intercalation in the Anisotropic Van Der Waals Semiconductor CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report the lithium intercalation in the layered van der Waals crystal CrSBr, revealing strongly anisotropic ion‐migration dynamics. Optical and electrical characterization of exfoliated CrSBr shows lithium diffusion coefficients that differ by more than an order of magnitude along a‐ and b‐directions, consistent with molecular dynamics simulations ...

Linear and nonlinear dynamic systems in financial time series prediction [PDF]

open access: yesManagement Science Letters, 2012
Autoregressive moving average (ARMA) process and dynamic neural networks namely the nonlinear autoregressive moving average with exogenous inputs (NARX) are compared by evaluating their ability to predict financial time series; for instance the S&P500 ...

Nonlinear polarization evolution using time-dependent density functional theory

open access: yes, 2018
We propose a theoretical and computational approach to investigate temporal behavior of a nonlinear polarization in perturbative regime induced by an intense and ultrashort pulsed electric field.

Chiral Nanohoops as an Efficient Spin Polarization System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral conjugated nanohoops with a central dibenzopentalene unit exhibit 90% spin polarization at low voltage and high conductivity. These properties make them ideal components in molecular spintronics applications. Abstract A central challenge in molecular spintronics is to achieve a high spin polarization at low operating voltages and ambient ...

Common large innovations across nonlinear time series [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a multivariate nonlinear econometric time series model, which can beused to examine if there is common nonlinearity across economic variables. Themodel is a multivariate censored latent effects autoregression.

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.
