Compensating nonlinear temperature dependence of ultrasonic motor
Ultrasonics, 2021This article aims at realizing the linear parameter-varying (LPV) controller synthesis to compensate temperature dependence for the ultrasonic motor (USM). Initially, based on the improved optimal frequency tracking scheme, the compact LPV model is investigated to approximate the nonlinear temperature dependence.

Laser Ultrasonic Nondestructive Testing Based on Nonlinear Ultrasonic Coefficient
Russian Journal of Nondestructive Testing, 2020Laser ultrasonic nondestructive testing technology can effectively detect the location of cracks and other information, it is easy to realize the qualitative detection of cracks, but it is difficult to achieve quantitative detection of cracks. In this paper, based on the traditional nonlinear ultrasonic method, ultrasound excited by laser.

Ultrasonic nonlinearity parameter in uniaxial stress condition
Ultrasonics, 2020The ultrasonic nonlinearity parameter derived for one-dimensional propagation of a longitudinal wave in an isotropic material has been considered useful in the evaluation of material degradation. To demonstrate this, many researchers have reported on the correlation with the yield strength obtained from a tensile test.

Higher order nonlinear ultrasonic imaging
1999 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium. Proceedings. International Symposium (Cat. No.99CH37027), 2001The processing of second harmonic echoes from both biological tissue and contrast agents has generated new diagnostic methods in medical ultrasound. The work presented here demonstrates the extraction of higher order nonlinearities. The underlying idea is to model the nonlinear wave propagation or reflection from a contrast bubble by a polynomial ...

Material microstructure and ultrasonic nonlinearity
2013 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS), 2013Ultrasonic nonlinearity measurements have been suggested as an effective tool for the early detection of fatigue damage in metallic structures. However, the correlation between ultrasonic nonlinearity and material damage induced by fatigue or plastic deformation has been observed to be non-monotonic by several researchers including by our group.
