Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

A study of analyzing longitudinal dynamic behavior of a double-rod system with longitudinal nonlinear supports

open access: yesScientific Reports
In engineering, shafting systems are typically subjected to longitudinal vibration excitations, which may result in unwanted vibration. To study the control of longitudinal vibration in shafting systems, they can be simplified to rod structures ...

Nonlinear Parametric Resonance Behavior of Cables in a Long Cantilever Bridge for Sightseeing Platform

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2021
In order to study the parametric vibration of stayed cables in a long cantilever bridge for a sightseeing platform, nonlinear parametric vibration equations of the stayed cables excited by the vibration of bridge deck and tower are derived.

Magnetic Control of Chiral Hybridized Phonon Magnetic Moments in Ferrimagnets Fe2‐xZnxMo3O8

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Helicity‐resolved magneto‐Raman spectroscopy reveals magnetic control of chiral phonon magnetic moments in polar ferrimagnet (ZnxFe2−xMo3O₈). Large spontaneous zero‐field phonon splittings, selective phonon–magnon coupling, and asymmetric Zeeman responses demonstrate that phonon chirality is governed by magnon‐phonon coupling and magnetization.

Nonlinear Vibration Control of a High-Dimensional Nonlinear Dynamic System of an Axially-Deploying Elevator Cable

open access: yesMathematics
For the first time, a numerical study is presented to demonstrate the importance of high-dimensional nonlinear dynamic systems of axially-deploying elevator cables in the nonlinear vibration and control of such time-varying-length structures, especially ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.

Hybrid fitting method for dynamic responses of mechanical systems

open access: yesFrontiers in Mechanical Engineering
For linear system, vibration response can be obtained by working load and vibration transfer function. However, for nonlinear systems, the vibration transfer function is variable, so the error of the existing methods is obvious.
