A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

A Note on the Second Order of Accuracy Stable Difference Schemes for the Nonlocal Boundary Value Hyperbolic Problem

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
The second order of accuracy absolutely stable difference schemes are presented for the nonlocal boundary value hyperbolic problem for the differential equations in a Hilbert space H with the self-adjoint positive definite operator A.

On the Prescription of Boundary Conditions for Nonlocal Poisson’s and Peridynamics Models

open access: yes, 2022
We introduce a technique to automatically convert local boundary conditions into nonlocal volume constraints for nonlocal Poisson's and peridynamic models. The proposed strategy is based on the approximation of nonlocal Dirichlet or Neumann data with a local solution obtained by using available boundary, local data.

Diffusion with nonlocal Robin boundary conditions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Mathematical Society of Japan, 2018
We investigate a second order elliptic differential operator $A_{β, μ}$ on a bounded, open set $Ω\subset\mathbb{R}^{d}$ with Lipschitz boundary subject to a nonlocal boundary condition of Robin type. More precisely we have $0\leq β\in L^{\infty}(\partialΩ)$ and $μ\colon \partial Ω\to \mathscr{M}(\overlineΩ)$, and boundary conditions of the form ...

Second order systems with nonlinear nonlocal boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2018
This paper is concerned with the second order differential equation with not necessarily linear nonlocal boundary condition. The existence of solutions is obtained using the properties of the Leray–Schauder degree. The results generalize and improve some

Metal nanostructure‐coupled label‐free localized surface plasmon resonance biosensors for rapid and sensitive disease diagnosis

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
LSPR biosensing enables rapid, sensitive, and low‐sample‐volume detection of biomarkers, with broad applications in diagnosing cancer, infectious, and chronic diseases. Advances in nanostructure design, micro/nanofabrication, and microfluidic integration have expanded the potential of LSPR sensors in biomedical diagnostics.

On the spectrum of a stationary problem with nonlocal integral type boundary condition

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2004
We investigated a eigenvalue problem for simple second order ordinary differential equation with one integral type nonlocal boundary condition. The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of such problem are depending on few parameters in the nonlocal boundary ...

New Results on a Nonlocal Sturm–Liouville Eigenvalue Problem with Fractional Integrals and Fractional Derivatives

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this paper, we investigate the eigenvalue properties of a nonlocal Sturm–Liouville equation involving fractional integrals and fractional derivatives under different boundary conditions.

The nonlocal boundary value problem with perturbations of mixed boundary conditions for an elliptic equation with constant coefficients. I

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2019
In this article we investigate a problem with nonlocal boundary conditions which are multipoint perturbations of mixed boundary conditions in the unit square $G$ using the Fourier method. The properties of a generalized transformation operator $R: L_2(G)
