Highly Efficient Simultaneous Photocatalytic Reduction of CO2 and O2 from Air Using Conjugated Microporous Polymers with Ionic Imidazolium Sites

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
In this work, we reported the rational design of two ionic conjugated microporous polymers for efficient simultaneous photocatalytic reduction of CO2 and O2 from air under mild conditions. Efficient photocatalytic reduction of CO2 is crucial to decrease the atmospheric concentration of CO2.

A Force‐Based Beam‐Column Element With Selective Gradient‐Inelasticity for Softening Materials in 3‐Dimensional Nonlinear Analysis

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 1, Page 26-45, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Fiber‐based beam‐column elements featuring an effective material constitutive law with softening can capture the degrading response of structural members under extreme loading. However, these elements exhibit strain localization and mesh divergence, which impedes their accuracy.

Decoding the Self: Single‐Trial Prediction of Self‐Boundary Meditation States From Magnetoencephalography Recordings

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 1, January 2026.
Meditation‐induced self‐boundary dissolution can be predicted from magnetoencephalography recordings using Lempel‐Ziv complexity and oscillatory power as neural markers. We demonstrate significantly above‐chance classification of altered self‐experience on a single‐trial basis and show that it is mediated by complex activation patterns across brain ...

Tuning Pore Chemistry in Dioxin‐Linked Porous Organic Polymers for Enhanced High‐Pressure CO2 Uptake

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, Volume 109, Issue 1, January 2026.
By tuning the pore structure of porous organic polymers, we can control their CO2 capture performance at different pressures. Post‐synthetic conversion of nitrile groups to amidoxime groups creates high‐affinity towards CO2 at low pressures, while the unmodified polymers achieve superior CO2 uptake of 57.4 wt% under high‐pressure conditions of 33 bar ...

Ethnic and Gender Representation in German, Italian and Dutch School Textbooks

open access: yesJournal of Community Psychology, Volume 54, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Female and/or ethnically minoritized textbook characters are often underrepresented and portrayed in ways that align with negative stereotypes. Previous studies have linked such stereotypes to educational underperformance and to educational choices that diverge from individual skills and preferences.
