Photonic Time Crystals and Time‐Varying Electromagnetic Metamatter: A New Direction for Ultrafast Tunable Photonic and Microwave Materials and Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Entropy‐Stabilized Aluminate Catalysts That Break the Activity–Stability Tradeoff in CF4 Hydrolysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Entropy‐stabilized aluminate breaks the activity–stability tradeoff in CF4 hydrolysis by combining a multication aluminate framework with an entropy‐stabilized lattice. An electron‐deficient Al–O environment is F‐philic but O‐phobic, enabling C–F activation while suppressing H2O poisoning. Under steam‐rich, strongly fluorinating conditions, the entropy‐

Extreme Polaritonic Interactions in a Room‐Temperature Designable Sub‐Nanocavity Quantum Electrodynamic Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nanoparticle‐cluster‐on‐mirror (NPcoM) serves as a functionally deterministic sub‐nanocavity that emulates picocavities, enabling extreme light–matter interactions and polaritonic phenomena. ABSTRACT Pushing nanoscale optical confinement to its ultimate limits defines the regime of nano‐cavity quantum electrodynamics (nano‐cQED), where light‐matter ...

On positive eigenfunctions of Sturm‐Liouville problem with nonlocal two‐point boundary condition

open access: yes, 2007
Positive eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions of the linear Sturm‐Liouville problem with one classical boundary condition and another nonlocal two‐point boundary condition are considered in this paper.

ON SOME PROBLEMS WITH NONLOCAL INTEGRAL CONDITION

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2010
We study the second order nonlinear boundary value problems with non‐local integral conditions and construct the Fučík type spectrum for these problems.

Spatially Separated Redox Centers in One‐Dimensional Sp2‐Carbon Covalent Organic Frameworks Enable Synergistic Photocatalytic Palladium Recovery and Bisphenol A Mineralization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A one‐dimensional sp2‐carbon covalent organic framework with spatially segregated redox centers integrates a dual photosensitizing system and a cationic interface for synergistic photocatalysis. The material achieves exceptional palladium recovery (1749 mg g−1) and bisphenol A mineralization (0.1710 min−1) without sacrificial agents, demonstrating ...

Integrated Ultrasonic Platform for Bioelectronic Control through Biological Barriers Based on Metasurface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A metasurface‐enabled ultrasonic platform achieves precise multi‐focal control through biological barriers, real‐time physiology‐driven modulation, and simultaneous wireless power and data transmission. By unifying wavefront engineering, closed‐loop feedback, and acoustic communication, this work establishes key enabling technologies toward scalable ...

Recovering differential operators with nonlocal boundary conditions [PDF]

open access: yesAnalysis and Mathematical Physics, 2015
Inverse spectral problems for Sturm-Liouville operators with nonlocal boundary conditions are studied. As the main spectral characteristics we introduce the so-called Weyl-type function and two spectra, which are generalizations of the well-known Weyl function and Borg's inverse problem for the classical Sturm-Liouville operator.
