Machine Learning‐Assisted Simulations and Predictions for Battery Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This review summarizes machine learning (ML)‐assisted simulations and predictions at battery interfaces. It highlights how employing ML algorithms with machine vision, enables the lithium dendrite growth simulation, the solid–electrolyte interphase formation, and other interfacial dynamics.

Nonlocal problems for hyperbolic equations from the viewpoint of strongly regular boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
In this article, we consider a nonlocal problem for hyperbolic equation with integral conditions and show their close connection with the notion of strongly regular boundary conditions.

Numerical Analysis of the Eigenvalue Problem for One-Dimensional Differential Operator with Nonlocal Integral Conditions

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2009
In this paper the eigenvalue problem for one-dimensional differential operator with nonlocal integral conditions is investigated numerically. The special cases of general problem are analyzed and hypothesis about the dependence of the spectral structure ...

Roughness of the Controllability for Time Varying Systems Under the Influence of Impulses, Delay, and Nonlocal Conditions

open access: yesNonautonomous Dynamical Systems, 2020
In this paper, we prove that the controllability of time varying linear system is preserved if we add impulses, delay and nonlocal conditions on it. In order to do that, we assume some conditions on the non-linear terms and apply the Rothe’s fixed point ...

An Asymptotically Compatible Approach For Neumann-Type Boundary Condition On Nonlocal Problems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In this paper we consider 2D nonlocal diffusion models with a finite nonlocal horizon parameter $\delta$ characterizing the range of nonlocal interactions, and consider the treatment of Neumann-like boundary conditions that have proven challenging for discretizations of nonlocal models.

Characterizing digital microstructures by the Minkowski‐based quadratic normal tensor

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 46, Issue 1, Page 961-985, 15 January 2023., 2023
For material modeling of microstructured media, an accurate characterization of the underlying microstructure is indispensable. Mathematically speaking, the overall goal of microstructure characterization is to find simple functionals which describe the geometric shape as well as the composition of the microstructures under consideration and enable ...

Nonlocal operators with Neumann conditions

open access: yes
We construct a strong Markov process corresponding to the Dirichlet form of Servadei and Valdinoci and use the process to solve the corresponding Neumann boundary problem for the fractional Laplacian and the half-line.

Randomness, Nonlocality and information in entagled correlations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
It is shown that the Einstein, Podolsky and Rosen (EPR) correlations for arbitrary spin-s and the Greenberger, Horne and Zeilinger (GHZ) correlations for three particles can be described by nonlocal joint and conditional quantum probabilities. The nonlocality of these probabilities makes the Bell's inequalities void.
