A parabolic equation with nonlocal conditions
Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2008For a linear parabolic equation with the principal part in divergence form, a boundary-value problem with nonlocal (irregular) conditions of integral type is considered. Sufficient conditions of the unique solvability are found for the above-mentioned problem.

Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis, 1987The authors derive a nonlinear elliptic-parabolic problem describing the one-dimensional flow of a liquid in an unsaturated porous medium. The originality of the model appears in a nonlocal boundary condition on the unknown, which is chosen to be the difference between the pressure of the liquid and the pressure of the gas filling the medium.
