Non-local coupling of two donor-bound electrons

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
We report the results of an experiment investigating coherence and correlation effects in a system of coupled donors. Two donors are strongly coupled to two leads in a parallel configuration within a nano-wire field effect transistor.

The Future of Foundation Machine Learning Potentials and DFT in Homogeneous Catalysis: Competition or Synergy?

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Machine‐learning potentials are increasingly taking on the exploratory tasks of homogeneous catalysis, enabling rapid conformer sampling and reaction‐space mapping. However, when selectivity depends on subtle electronic effects, electronic‐structure methods remain essential.

Investigation of static behavior of single-walled carbon nanotubes with helical axes: exact analytical solution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Smart and Nano Materials
This study investigates the static behavior of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with helical axes using Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory. The differential form of the nonlocal theory is employed to establish the relationship between local and ...

Realistic Quantum Control of Energy Transfer in Photosynthetic Processes

open access: yesEnergies, 2016
The occurrence of coherence phenomenon as a result of the interference of the probability amplitude terms is among the principle features of quantum mechanics concepts.

Determining the squeezing in multimode fields using nonlocal quantum probes

open access: yes, 2014
We present a scheme allowing to access the squeezing parameter of multimode fields by means of the dynamics of nonlocal quantum probes. The model under consideration is composed of two two-level systems which are coupled locally to an environment ...

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

Three Phases in the 3D Abelian Higgs Model with Nonlocal Gauge Interactions

open access: yes, 2006
We study the phase structure of the 3D nonlocal compact U(1) lattice gauge theory coupled with a Higgs field by means of Monte-Carlo simulations. The nonlocal interactions among gauge variables are along the temporal direction and mimic the effect of ...

Coherent exchange-coupled nonlocal Kondo impurities

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Quantum dots exhibit a variety of strongly correlated effects, e.g., they can emulate localized magnetic impurities that form a Kondo singlet with their surrounding environment. Interestingly, in double-dot setups, such magnetic impurities couple to each other by direct Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida (RKKY) interaction, which wins over the Kondo physics.

Charge State Influence on Stability and Isomerism in Dehydrogenated PAHs: Insights from Anthracene, Acridine, and Phenazine

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The ionization of anthracene, acridine, and phenazine has been explored, along with the removal of one and two hydrogen atoms, to provide valuable information for astrochemists and to understand the behavior of the resulting structures and their electronic reorganization. Abstract In this study, we systematically explored the stability and isomerism of

Nonlocal Metasurfaces and Their High Q‐Factors in Fano Resonances

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research
Herein nonlocal metasurfaces of parallel bars stitched to cubic rectangles containing structural and symmetry perturbations with a coupling of localized Mie resonance in meta‐atoms and Bragg modes in photonic crystals are reported.
