Contribution of nonlocal interactions to DNA elasticity
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2011A nonlocal harmonic elastic rod model is proposed to describe the elastic behavior of short DNA molecules. We show that the nonlocal interactions contribute to effective bending energy of the molecule and affect its apparent persistence length.

Lattice defects in nonlocal elasticity
Physica B+C, 1979Abstract A general treatment of the properties of static lattice defects is given in nonlocal elasticity. The results are applied to calculate the elastic interaction and self-energy of dilatation centres. It is shown that the results are equivalent with the ones of discrete atomic model calculations.
