Integral solution of a conformable fractional integro-differential equation with nonlocal condition

open access: bronzeMATHEMATICA, 2022
This paper deals with the existence and uniqueness of the integral solution of a nondense integro-differential equation with nonlocal condition in the frame of conformable fractional derivative. The main results are obtained by using some fixed point theorems combined with an integrated semigroup approach.

A Nonlocal Problem with Integral Conditions for a Hyperbolic Equation

open access: yesDifferential Equations, 2004
One considers a Cauchy problem for the two dimensional hyperbolic equation where the solution has to verify a nonlocal integral condition, too. The stated problem cannot be reduced to a boundary value problem. Under certain conditions one proves a priori estimates and the existence and uniqueness of solutions in a Sobolev space.

Positive solutions of nonlocal boundary value problems involving integral conditions [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Differential Equations and Applications NoDEA, 2008
We establish the existence of multiple positive solutions of nonlinear equations of the form $$-u^{\prime\prime}(t) = g(t)f(t, u(t)), t \in (0, 1),$$ where g, f are non-negative functions, subject to various nonlocal boundary conditions. The common feature is that each can be written as an integral equation, in the space C[0, 1], of the form

Synchrotron Radiation for Quantum Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Materials and interfaces underpin quantum technologies, with synchrotron and FEL methods key to understanding and optimizing them. Advances span superconducting and semiconducting qubits, 2D materials, and topological systems, where strain, defects, and interfaces govern performance.

Three‐dimensional Antimony Sulfide Based Flat Optics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents the development of a grayscale electron beam lithography (g‐EBL) method for fabricating antimony trisulfide (Sb2S3) nanostructures with customizable 3D profiles. The refractive index of g‐EBL patterned Sb2S3 is determined based on the synergy of genetic algorithm and transfer matrix method.

Reflection positivity in nonlocal gravity

open access: yes, 2018
Contrary to recent claims in the literature, a simple test for reflection positivite, which we call perturbative reflection positivity in the coincidence limit, is shown to be satisfied for nonlocal field theories. Particular attention is given to weakly

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Abelian Anomalies in Nonlocal Regularization

open access: yes, 1993
Nonlocal regularization of QED is shown to possess an axial anomaly of the same form as other regularization schemes. The Noether current is explicitly constructed and the symmetries are shown to be violated, whereas the identities constructed when one ...

Switchable Thermal Mid‐IR Conducting Polymer Antenna Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents switchable mid‐infrared plasmonic resonances in PEDOT antenna arrays. Their optical extinction peaks can be reversibly switched ‘OFF’ and ‘ON’ by tuning the polaronic charge carrier concentration via the polymer's redox state, offering modulation of optical responses in the thermal mid‐infrared range including around 10 µm ...

Nonlocal control of pulse propagation in excitable media

open access: yes, 2014
We study the effects of nonlocal control of pulse propagation in excitable media. As a generic example for an excitable medium the FitzHugh-Nagumo model with diffusion in the activator variable is considered. Nonlocal coupling in form of an integral term
