Nonlocal Strain Gradient Theory for the Bending of Functionally Graded Porous Nanoplates. [PDF]
Many investigators have become interested in nanostructures due to their outstanding mechanical, chemical, and electrical properties. Two-dimensional nanoplates with higher mechanical properties compared with traditional structural applications are a common structure of nanosystems.

ON NONLOCAL LAM STRAIN GRADIENT MECHANICS OF ELASTIC RODS
Numerous contributions can be found in the recent literature exploiting the nonlocal strain gradient model, introduced in consequence of unification of the differential relation (consequent but not equivalent to Eringen nonlocal integral law) and strain gradient elasticity.

On the consistency of the nonlocal strain gradient elasticity [PDF]
The nonlocal strain gradient elasticity theory is being widely used to address structural problems at the micro- and nano-scale, in which size effects cannot be disregarded. The application of this approach to bounded solids shows the necessity to fulfil boundary conditions, derived from an energy variational principle, to achieve equilibrium, as well ...

Dynamics of nonlocal strain gradient nanobeams with longitudinal magnetic field
Flexural dynamics of carbon nanotubes under the longitudinal magnetic field have been investigated in the paper. Carbon nanotube has been assumed as a hollow beam with circular cross section. Nonlocal strain gradient model has been employed in the modeling of nanobeam. Transverse component of Lorentz force, which occurs with longitudinal magnetic field,

Higher order nonlocal strain gradient approach for wave characteristics of carbon nanorod
In this paper an attempt is made to study the wave dispersion characteristics of a carbon nanorod through second, fourth, sixth and eighth order nonlocal strain gradient models. Expressions are derived for both wave number and wave speeds of the nanorod.

Exact strain gradient modelling of prestressed nonlocal diatomic lattice metamaterials
In this article, an exact strain gradient (SG) continuum model to capture the broadband bandgap characteristics of the prestressed diatomic lattice (PDL) with local/nonlocal interactions has been proposed.

Ultrasonic wave characteristics of nanorods via nonlocal strain gradient models
This paper studies an ultrasonic wave dispersion characteristics of a nanorod. Nonlocal strain gradient models (both second and fourth order) are introduced to analyze the ultrasonic wave behavior in nanorod. Explicit expressions are derived for wave numbers and the wave speeds of the nanorod.

Nonlocal-Strain-Gradient-Based Anisotropic Elastic Shell Model for Vibrational Analysis of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes [PDF]
In this study, a new anisotropic elastic shell model with a nonlocal strain gradient is developed to investigate the vibrations of simply supported single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs).
