WHAT ONCE WAS SHALL BE AGAIN: PALAEOLITHIC BIFACES AT THE NEOLITHIC SITE OF GIV'AT RABI EAST
Summary Giv'at Rabi East is a Pre‐Pottery Neolithic B site located in northern Israel, interpreted as a flint workshop. One area has been spatially identified as a ‘biface locality’; it is characterized by the presence of finished axes and preforms alongside débitage. Interestingly, Acheulean bifaces have also been recovered from this area.

Abstract This study investigates the role of locality (a task/material‐related variable), demographic factors (age, education, and sex), cognitive capacities (verbal working memory [WM], verbal short‐term memory [STM], speed of processing [SOP], and inhibition), and morphosyntactic category (time reference and grammatical aspect) in verb‐related ...

Causality and nonlocality as axioms for quantum mechanics
Quantum mechanics permits nonlocality-both nonlocal correlations and nonlocal equations of motion-while respecting relativistic causality. Is quantum mechanics the unique theory that reconciles nonlocality and causality?

A Stable Formulation for Wave‐Induced Fracture in Peridynamics
ABSTRACT The bond‐associated quadrature point formulation is a very accurate peridynamic formulation for elasticity, but modeling fracture by the traditional deletion of bonds can trigger severe numerical instabilities. These instabilities are most pronounced for wave‐induced fracture, where stress waves continue to propagate through already damaged ...

d-outcome measurement for a nonlocality test
For the purpose of a nonlocality test, we propose a general correlation observable of two parties by utilizing local d- outcome measurements with SU(d) transformations and classical communications.

Abstract Spatial heterogeneity, manifested as strong variability in hydraulic conductivity (K) within geological formations, exerts a fundamental control on groundwater flow and solute transport. Because K can vary over multiple orders of magnitude in complex three‐dimensional patterns, predicting contaminant plume migration remains a long‐standing ...
