Synthesis, Crystal Structure, Hirshfeld Surface, RDG, ELF, LOL, DFT, and Molecular Docking Studies of a Binuclear Copper(II) Carboxylate Complex

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
A binuclear copper(II) phenylacetate–metronidazole complex was successfully synthesized and structurally characterized. Hirshfeld surface analysis confirmed dominant H···H interactions governing crystal packing stability. DFT calculations demonstrated strong agreement with experimental geometry.

Wage Differentials, Firm Investment, and Stock Returns

open access: yesInternational Review of Finance, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the effects of labor costs on firms' capital investments and stock returns. I estimate wage premia across US industries and show that the negative investment‐return relation implied by q$$ q $$‐theory is steeper for firms paying high wage premia than for firms paying low wage premia.

Political Cycles, Electricity Policy, and Mexico's Economy

open access: yesLatin American Policy, Volume 17, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Electricity reform in Mexico should stimulate economic growth, improve energy efficiency, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This article evaluates the successes and failures of reform and draws lessons across political cycles by analyzing changes in political dynamics—often tied to policy reversals—and the legal framework during the pro ...

Interactions between Molten High‐Silicon Electrical Steels and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 10, 20 May 2026.
This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.
