Rating of Nonmetallic Inclusions by Image Analysis

Image analysis has proved to be a reliable method for the rating of steel cleanness. One analysis gives information about the average content of oxides and sulfides, the existence of critical inclusions according to size, and by specific field counting information related to the macroscopic fraction of inclusions.
