Importance of Interfacial and Intraparticle Conductivity Enhancement in the Electrochemical Response of Composite Electrode Materials in 3D‐Printed Supercapacitors

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 14, 17 July 2026.
Electrochemical performance in 3D‐printed supercapacitors containing pseudocapacitive materials and carbon conductive additives is governed by both intraparticle conductivity within the composite electrode and interfacial conductivity at the printed current collector.

Electrooxidative Iodination of Carbonyl Compounds: A Mild, Simple, and Scalable Access to α‐Iodocarbonyls

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 13, 2 July 2026.
The efficient electrochemical synthesis of iodinated carbonyl compounds, valuable building blocks, is reported. The method relies on the controlled generation of electrophilic iodine species from simple and inexpensive iodide salts under mild electrochemical conditions, enabling excellent compatibility with aldehydes bearing sensitive functional groups.

Transient Performance Enhancement of Layered KxMnO2 Cathodes for Zinc‐Ion Batteries via Cu Doping

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 9, Issue 7, July 2026.
This study presents the use of Cu as a redox‐active dopant in layered manganese oxides as an effective strategy to improve the capacity and rate capability of the material and provides insight into both the long‐term stability limitations of Cu doping at present and next steps needed to push toward the next generation of ZIB cathodes. Layered manganese

Hybrid Cell Membrane‐Coated NIR‐Photodegradable Carbon Nitride Nanozymes for Mangiferin Dual‐Targeted Delivery and Gas Mild Photothermal Immunotherapy Against Liver Fibrosis via the HIF‐1α/HSP27 Axis

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 4, July 2026.
We developed HMCCNs@MAN, a biomimetic drug–gas codelivery platform for precise mild photothermal immunotherapy of liver fibrosis. Coated with hybrid macrophage‐aHSC membranes, it enables dual‐targeted delivery of MAN to the hepatic fibrosis site. Under NIR laser irradiation, HMCCNs@MAN can generate oxygen, release MAN, and produce heat.
