K.: Belief change in nonmonotonic multi-context systems

open access: yes, 2013
. Brewka and Eiter's nonmonotonic multi-context systems is an elegant knowledge representation framework to model heterogeneous and nonmonotonic multiple contexts. Belief change is a central problem in knowledge representation and reasoning.

Identifying Suitable Front Contacts for High‐Efficiency Cd(Se,Te) Solar Cells on Space‐Qualified Cover Glass

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 10, Page 1277-1291, October 2026.
Front contact selection governs interfacial stability in CdTe‐based (Cd(Se,Te)) solar cells on ultra‐thin space‐qualified cover glass. Optimized TCO/emitter combinations suppress interdiffusion and deliver up to 16.2% AM0 efficiency with high specific power, demonstrating strong potential for lightweight space photovoltaics.

Age Replacement for Balanced Systems Under Mission Durations

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, Volume 42, Issue 6, Page 3369-3384, October 2026.
ABSTRACT With advances in technology, systems such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and planetary landing vehicles whose operation requires maintaining balance across sectors have attracted increasing attention within the balanced systems literature.

Detectability of Forced ENSO Changes Under Global Warming: Insights From the Recharge Oscillator

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 17, 16 September 2026.
Abstract We use perfect‐model, large‐ensemble nonlinear Recharge Oscillator (RO) simulations to quantify ENSO internal variability and the detectability of forced changes in ENSO characteristics. Fixed‐parameter simulations show that linear trends in ENSO standard deviation, period, and skewness as large as those observed since 1955 can arise from ...

Laser‐Induced Oxidation of Silicon Using a 355 nm UV Laser and Its Molecular Dynamics Simulation

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 223, Issue 17, 9 September 2026.
Laser‐induced silicon oxidation under 355 nm UV irradiation is investigated through combined experiments and molecular dynamics simulations. Temperature‐dependent oxidation mechanisms reveal a transition from surface‐limited oxidation to lateral oxygen diffusion and depth‐wise oxygen penetration, governing oxygen transport and oxide growth.
