Output‐Feedback H∞$$ {H}_{\infty } $$ Detector‐Based Control of Continuous‐Time Markov Jump Lur'e Systems With Sector‐Bound Optimization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses the problem of dynamic output‐feedback H∞$$ {H}_{\infty } $$ detector‐based control for continuous‐time Markov Jump Lur'e Systems with uncertain transition rate matrices. In contrast to conventional approaches, the proposed synthesis conditions are derived using Finsler's lemma, introducing additional slack variables to ...

Control Systems Design With Enlarged Stability Domains for Nonlinear Constrained Systems via Sum‐of‐Squares Optimization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Designing safe control laws for nonlinear systems is challenging, especially when ensuring stability under actuator saturation and state constraints. A key aspect is embedding controllers with a Region of Attraction (ROA), which defines initial conditions guaranteeing convergence to a stable equilibrium point (EP).

A projective approach to nonnegative matrix factorization

open access: yes, 2021
In data science and machine learning, the method of nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) is a powerful tool that enjoys great popularity. Depending on the concrete application, there exist several subclasses each of which performs a NMF under certain ...

High‐Order Sliding‐Mode control for MIMO Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper extends Lyapunov‐based homogeneous high‐order sliding‐mode control to a class of uncertain non‐square multi‐input multi‐output (MIMO) nonlinear systems with a well‐defined vector relative degree. The considered systems admit a normal‐form representation with an uncertain but full‐row‐rank input‐gain matrix.

A new smooth failure criterion for concrete inspired by Lubliner's condition

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract A new failure criterion with 10 parameters is proposed, based on Lubliner's idea of joining two Drucker–Prager cones. The novelty lies in the way of introducing deviatoric shape variation: through two Podgórski's functions. This feature allows for improving plane stress cross‐section's compatibility with experimental data.

Updating a map of sufficient conditions for the real nonnegative inverse eigenvalue problem

open access: yesSpecial Matrices, 2019
The real nonnegative inverse eigenvalue problem (RNIEP) asks for necessary and sufficient conditions in order that a list of real numbers be the spectrum of a nonnegative real matrix.

Advances in Nonnegative Matrix Decomposition with Application to Cluster Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (NMF) has found a wide variety of applications in machine learning and data mining. NMF seeks to approximate a nonnegative data matrix by a product of several low-rank factorizing matrices, some of which are constrained ...

SMILE: Extraction‐free submicron‐resolution mapping of lipid chain length and unsaturation by stimulated Raman imaging

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
In this work, we develop submicron‐resolution mapping of intracellular lipid elements (SMILE) as an extraction‐free vibrational spectroscopic imaging platform based on hyperspectral stimulated Raman scattering microscopy with a spectral analysis pipeline for pixel‐resolved lipid profiling.

Joint Linear Regression and Nonnegative Matrix Factorization Based on Self-Organized Graph for Image Clustering and Classification

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) technique has been developed successfully to represent the intuitively meaningful feature of data. A suitable representation can faithfully preserve the intrinsic structure of data.
