Nonparametric path analysis—The multivariate structure of dichotomous data when using the odds Ratio or Yule's Q

Social Science Research, 1974
The recent paperback text, Elementary Survey Analysis (1971, James A. Davis, Ed., Prentice-Hall, Englewood Cliffs, N.J.), gives a set of intuitive rules for path analysis of dichotomous variables. In this paper a statistical model using odds ratios is used to evaluate this system of rules more precisely. The major conclusions are as follows.

Nonparametric Path Modeling with Double Resampling for Waste Economic Value Utilization: Simulation-Based Performance Comparison

CAUCHY
Waste generation exceeding landfill capacity highlights the urgency of realizing its economic value. This study analyzes the effect of Quality of Facilities and Infrastructure (X1) and Use of Waste Banks (X2) on Waste Management-Based 3R (Y1) and Waste ...

Recurrent Control Barrier Functions: A Path Towards Nonparametric Safety Verification

IEEE Conference on Decision and Control
Ensuring the safety of complex dynamical systems often relies on Hamilton-Jacobi (HJ) Reachability Analysis or Control Barrier Functions (CBFs). Both methods require computing a function that characterizes a safe set that can be made (control) invariant.

Nonparametric estimation of path‐specific effects in the presence of nonignorable missing covariates

Scandinavian Journal of Statistics
The path‐specific effect (PSE) is of primary interest in mediation analysis when multiple intermediate variables are in the pathway from treatment to outcome, as it can isolate the specific effect through each mediator, thus mitigating potential bias ...
