A Nonparametric Approach to Evaluating Inflation-Targeting Regimes [PDF]

open access: yes
We use a variety of nonparametric test statistics to evaluate the inflation- targeting regimes of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden and the UK. We argue that a sensible approach of evaluation must rely on a variety of methods, among them parametric ...

Compact Tabletop Magnetic Resonance Elastography for Mapping Soft Tissue Viscoelasticity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a compact, low‐cost tabletop magnetic resonance elastography platform for high‐resolution viscoelastic mapping in soft‐tissue specimens. Using this method in human colorectal liver metastases, we demonstrate fully automated biomechanical profiling of treatment response and show that heterogeneity‐based metrics outperform ...

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Commercial Interior Version 4 (LEED-CI v4) Gold-Certified Office Space Projects: A Pairwise Comparative Analysis between Three Mediterranean Countries

open access: yesBuildings
Over the past five years, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Commercial Interior version 4 (LEED-CI v4)-certified office projects have been intensively studied in the USA and China, but they have not yet been studied in the Mediterranean ...

A Nonparametric Examination of Capital-Skill Complementarity [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper uses nonparametric kernel methods to construct observation-specific elasticities of substitution for a balanced panel of 73 developed and developing countries to examine the capital-skill complementarity hypothesis.

Long‐Term Ambient Benzene Exposure and Brain Disorders Among Urban Adults: Effect Modification by Genetic Susceptibility and Potential Mediation by Plasma Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Low‐level ambient benzene exposure is associated with increased risks of multiple brain disorders in urban adults. Genetic susceptibility modifies these associations, while plasma proteomics points to potential biological pathways linking benzene exposure to adverse brain health.

PDIA6–SCD1 Axis Rewires Lipid Metabolism to Drive Gastric Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein disulfide isomerase A6 (PDIA6) is identified as an oncogenic driver in gastric cancer. PDIA6 directly binds and stabilizes SCD1 by limiting its ubiquitin–proteasome‐mediated degradation, thereby sustaining monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA)‐enriched lipid homeostasis and lipid metabolic reprogramming.

A Nonparametric Monitoring Framework Based on Order Statistics and Multiple Scans: Advances and Applications in Ocean Engineering

open access: yesStats
In this work, we introduce a statistical framework for monitoring the performance of a breakwater structure in reducing wave impact. The proposed methodology aims to achieve diligent tracking of the underlying process and the swift detection of any ...

Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor Acquires Immune Functions by Incorporating Host Maternal Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSTT cells, through cell fusion with B cells, incorporate abundant non‐inherited maternal genes that are detectable by DNIMA. These hybrid cells acquire immunotherapy‐resistant genetic changes and increase the expression of B cell‐derived immune‐related molecules such as Ig, HLA, LILRB, SIGLEC10, and so on, creating an immunotolerant environment around

Parameter Sensitivity Analysis and Identification Method for Dynamic Constitutive Relationship of Titanium Alloy

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2015
:In order to analyze the parameter sensitivity of dynamic constitutive relationship, the shortcoming of the single factor analysis method was overcome by using the Latin hypercube sampling method in the entire parameter space, and by the use of ...

Bandwidth Selection in Nonparametric Kernel Testing [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a sound approach to bandwidth selection in nonparametric kernel testing. The main idea is to find an Edgeworth expansion of the asymptotic distribution of the test concerned.
