Automated Stereology and Uncertainty Quantification Considering Spherical Non-Penetrating Dispersions

open access: yesCrystals, 2023
Automated stereological methods are presented for approximating the 3D size distribution of unimodal or bimodal precipitate dispersions considering 2D and 1D measurements taken from polydisperse spherical non-penetrating particle dispersions. A method to

Investigation on hard‐rock breaking performance and auxiliary mechanism of picks assisted with both‐sided high‐pressure water jets

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper investigates the high‐pressure water jet‐pick combined rock‐breaking mode (HPC), which employs high‐pressure water jets to precut grooves on both sides of the picks. The rock‐breaking patterns and performance of the HPC method are obtained, and the auxiliary rock‐breaking mechanism of water jet grooving is revealed.

Clinical and Biochemical Factors Associated With Infliximab Pharmacokinetics in Adult Patients With Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Many patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) do not adequately respond to infliximab, potentially due to individual differences in pharmacokinetics (PK). This study aimed to identify clinical and biochemical variables associated with infliximab PK.

Electrostatic Molecular Interaction from X-ray Diffraction Data. I. Development of the Method; Test on Pyrazine [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
Electrostatic interaction is often an important part of the total interaction between molecules. It depends on the electron density distribution in the participating molecules, which can, in principle, be determined by X-ray diffraction methods. A method

A significant number of pediatric inflammatory bowel disease patients are exposed to a medication not approved by the Food and Drug Administration for pediatric use

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) presents before age 20 years in ~25% of patients. Regulatory approvals of IBD medications for pediatric use are often delayed. Nevertheless, many pediatric patients receive medication not approved for pediatric use.

STUDIES REGARDING THE CRIOPROTECTIVE PROPRIETIES OF THE VITRIFICATION MEDIA, WITH DMSO, SUCROSE, FICOLL 70 AND GALACTOSE USED IN EMBRYO CRYOPRESERVATION

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
The aim of our paper was to make a series of experiments in order to determine the concentration at which four cryoprotectants (DMSO, sucrose, Ficoll 70 and galactose) singly and in pairs would vitrify on plunging into liquid nitrogen and remain vitreous

Reconstruction of deep and perforating corneal defects in dogs—A review (Part I/III): Autogenous ocular tissues, donor tissues, and corneal clarity scoring

open access: yesVeterinary Ophthalmology, Volume 28, Issue 2, Page 519-531, March 2025.
Abstract Corneal reconstruction is a key part of veterinary ophthalmic practice and numerous reconstructive techniques have been described for use in small animals in the peer‐reviewed veterinary literature written in English. Despite the evidence accrued over the last six decades in over 40 clinical articles and numerous other publications on ocular ...
