Iterated Perturbation Theory for Mott Insulators in a Static Electric Field with Optical Phonons

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), Volume 261, Issue 9, September 2024.
Schematic representation of the current flowing within the lattice. When the field is applied, electrons can tunnel through the former gap of an adjacent site, creating the necessary states to populate the conduction band of a site which is twice lattice spacings apart.

What can be measured asymptotically?

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We consider asymptotic observables in quantum field theories in which the S-matrix makes sense. We argue that in addition to scattering amplitudes, a whole compendium of inclusive observables exists where the time-ordering is relaxed.

Limits of TMD evolution in SIDIS at moderate Q

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
We investigate semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering measurements in the region of relatively small Q, where sensitivity to nonperturbative transverse momentum dependence can dominate the evolution.

Nonperturbative effects of Topological Theta-term

open access: yes, 2011
We study the effects of a topological Theta-term on 2+1 dimensional principal chiral models (PCM), which are nonlinear sigma models defined on Lie group manifolds. We find that when Theta = pi, the nature of the disordered phase of the principal chiral model is strongly affected by the topological term: it is either a gapless conformal field theory, or

Reducible contributions to quantum electrodynamics in external fields

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We consider one-particle reducible (1PR) contributions to QED and scalar QED processes in external fields, at one-loop and two-loop order. We investigate three cases in detail: constant crossed fields, constant magnetic fields, and plane waves.

Electroweak vacuum stability in the Higgs-Dilaton theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We study the stability of the Electroweak (EW) vacuum in a scale-invariant extension of the Standard Model and General Relativity, known as a Higgs-Dilaton theory.

Tadpole diagrams in constant electromagnetic fields

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We show how all possible one-particle reducible tadpole diagrams in constant electromagnetic fields can be constructed from one-particle irreducible constant-field diagrams.

Experimental targets for photon couplings of the QCD axion

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
The QCD axion’s coupling to photons is often assumed to lie in a narrow band as a function of the axion mass. We demonstrate that several simple mechanisms, in addition to the photophilic clockwork axion already in the literature, can significantly ...
