Enhancement and suppression of nonsequential double ionization by spatially inhomogeneous fields

open access: yesOptics Express
Using the three-dimensional classical ensemble approach, we theoretically investigate the nonsequential double ionization of argon atoms in an intense laser field enhanced by bowtie-nanotip. We observe an anomalous decrease in the double ionization yield as the laser intensity increases, along with a significant gap in the low momentum of ...

INVESTIGATING THE MULTIPLE RECOLLISION OF THE NONSEQUENTIAL DOUBLE IONIZATION PROCESS

open access: yesHUJOS - Natural Science, 2017
<p>We systematically investigate the contribution of recollision dynamics to the nonsequential double ionization process (NSDI) of Ar atom for a wide range of laser intensity. The result shows that the first- and second-recollision scenarios have significant contribution to the NSDI events.
