On the Incremental Problem in Thermoelasticity of Nonsimple Materials

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 1998
Summary: We study the incremental problem in the thermoelastic theory of nonsimple elastic materials. After we set down the basic equations, we obtain results on existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence on initial parameters and supply terms.

On the Nonlinear Theory of Nonsimple Thermoelastic Materials with Voids

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 1993
AbstractA nonlinear theory of nonsimple thermoelastic materials with voids is established. The continuous dependence upon initial state and supply terms of smooth thermodynamic processes is studied.

THERMOELASTICITY OF NONSIMPLE MATERIALS

Journal of Thermal Stresses, 1983
Abstract A linear theory of thermoelasticity for nonsimple materials is derived by using an entropy production inequality proposed by Green and Laws. A uniqueness theorem, complete solutions of the field equations, a study of the plane waves and fundamental solutions for steady vibrations are presented.

THERMOELASTICITY OF NONSIMPLE MATERIALS WITH THERMAL RELAXATION

Journal of Thermal Stresses, 1996
A theory of thermoelasticity for nonsimple materials is derived within the framework of extended thermodynamics. The theory is linearized, and a uniqueness result is presented. A Galerkin type solution of the field equations and fundamental solutions for steady vibrations are also studied.

Thermoelasticity without energy dissipation of nonsimple materials

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 2003
AbstractIn this article we propose a model of the nonsimple thermoelastic theory without energy dissipation. The equations of the linear theory are also obtained. Later, we obtain a uniqueness theorem for materials with a center of symmetry and an existence and uniqueness result in the general case.

On heat-flux dependent thermopiezoelectricity of nonsimple materials

Journal of Thermal Stresses
A theory of thermopiezoelectricity for nonsimple materials is developed by incorporating heat flux as an independent constitutive variable. The linearized version of this theory reveals the presence of second-sound effects. A reciprocity relation which involves two processes at different times and a theorem on the uniqueness of solutions are deduced ...
