Nonuniform Leaching from Nonuniform Steady Infiltration
Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1984Abstract The two‐dimensional quasilinear steady flow equation is solved exactly for arbitrary periodic distribution of surface source strength v 0 ( x ) ( x , horizontal ...

Nonuniform sampling by quantiles
Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2018A flexible strategy for choosing samples nonuniformly from a Nyquist grid using the concept of statistical quantiles is presented for broad classes of NMR experimentation. Quantile-directed scheduling is intuitive and flexible for any weighting function, promotes reproducibility and seed independence, and is generalizable to multiple dimensions.

Structure of Nonuniform Liquids
American Journal of Physics, 1959In an earlier paper in this Journal the modern arguments which lead to an understanding of a simple classical liquid under uniform conditions were considered. The more general case of nonuniform liquids is treated in the present paper and the methods currently used to determine the physical structure under these conditions are explained.

Nonuniform Dithered Quantization
2009 Data Compression Conference, 2009Dithered quantization has useful properties such as producing quantization noise independent of the source and continuous reconstruction at the decoder side. Dithered quantizers have traditionally been considered within their natural setting of uniform quantization framework. A uniformly distributed (with step size matched to the quantization interval)

EIGENFREQUENCIES OF NONUNIFORM BEAMS
AIAA Journal, 1963Summary Most of the approximate methods (Rayleigh-Ritz, iteration, etc.) for computing eigenfrequencies of structures yield upper bounds. Lower bounds are usually less easy to estimate and often present larger discrepancies from the exact values. There are cases, however, where methods of mass and/or flexibility decomposition, applicable to composite ...

This review evaluates the progress that has been made in describing the lung as a deformable solid and in using the methods of solid mechanics to answer questions about nonuniform lung deformations and parenchymal interdependence. The interdependence effect on the large intrapulmonary vessels has been successfully analyzed by these methods, but the ...

Abstract In this chapter we will investigate the ILP/SLP effects seen with syntactically complex predicates. We will find that the effects seen in a matrix clause sometimes depend on the sort of predicate that appears in an embedded clause. We will also see the perceptual report diagnostic diverge from the others.

The Nonuniform Transmission Line
Proceedings of the IRE, 1932The problem of transmission of periodic waves along a transmission line, whose series impedance and shunt admittance per unit length very as any powers of the distance from some point, is solved. The solution is given in terms of Bessel functions. A length of such a line is considered as a four-terminal network, and the more important parameters of the

Visualization of structured nonuniform grids
IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 2006Operational forecasters and weather researchers need accurate visualization of atmospheric data from both computational models and observed data. Although these two applications share some requirements, they have different needs and goals. We've developed a visualization tool for atmospheric science researchers and research weather forecasters that ...
