Scintillation of Nonuniformly Polarized Beams in Atmospheric Turbulence

open access: yes, 2011
We demonstrate, through numerical simulations, that an appropriately chosen nonuniformly polarized coherent optical field can have appreciably smaller scintillation than comparable beams of uniform polarization.

AI‐enabled engineering of hesperidin/ursodeoxycholic acid nanomedicine for synergistic treatment of drug‐induced liver injury

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
An AI‐driven framework integrating disease‐network analysis, direction‐aware molecular screening, and carrier‐free co‐assembly engineering enables nanomedicine design. The dual‐constraint deep learning model predicts API–target affinity and regulatory direction to prioritize complementary APIs.

Programmable Porosity in Polymers via Microfluidic Templating and 3D Printing

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Fluid templating is a powerful way to produce porous polymers. Microfluidic technologies enable fine control over the dimension and packing of bubbles and droplets. Combined with additive manufacturing, microfluidic templating enables the creation of polymeric functionally graded porous materials in which both porosity and three‐dimensional geometry ...

Investigation of Serrated Flow in Intercritically Annealed Medium Manganese Steel by In Situ Synchrotron X‐Ray Diffraction

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Serrations and stepwise austenite phase transformation were observed in cold‐rolled and annealed medium manganese steels. By in situ XRD experiments, these two phenomena were studied simultaneously. The results show that DSA leads to the creation of PLC bands and load drops in the specimen.

Diagnostic Options in Graves' or Non‐Graves' Thyrotoxicosis: A Review for Clinical Practice

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Distinguishing Graves' disease (GD) from the other causes of thyrotoxicosis is essential for appropriate management. The clinical phenotype of GD has evolved over time and is currently more heterogenous and milder than in the past. Consequently, the differential diagnosis of thyrotoxicosis is often challenging.
