Measure characterizations and properties of normal and regular lattices

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1991
Various equivalent characterizations of normality are considered and a measure theoretic definition is given for strongly normal lattices. Measure conditions related to the apace of σ-smooth, lattice-regular, 0−1 measures are noted which imply, or are ...

Pattern of blood vessels in eyes with coloboma

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2013
Background: Choroidal coloboma, especially with optic disc involvement affects the blood vessel (BV) pattern in the fundus. Aim: The aim of this study was to report the observations on the pattern of retinal BVs in eyes with fundus coloboma.

Epistemology Normalized

open access: yesPhilosophical Review, 2023
We offer a general framework for theorizing about the structure of knowledge and belief in terms of the comparative normality of situations compatible with one’s evidence. The guiding idea is that, if a possibility is sufficiently less normal than one’s actual situation, then one can know that that possibility does not obtain.

Topological properties of spaces ordered by preferences

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1999
In this paper, we analyze the main topological properties of a relevant class of topologies associated with spaces ordered by preferences (asymmetric, negatively transitive binary relations).

Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

Outer measures and associated lattice properties

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1993
Zero-one measure characterizations of lattice properties such as normality are extended to more general measures. For a given measure, we consider two associated “outer” measures and attempt to obtain the “outer”-measurable sets.

JMASM29: Dominance Analysis of Independent Data (Fortran) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A Fortran 77 program is provided for an ordinal dominance analysis of independent two-group comparisons. The program calculates the ordinal statistic, d, and statistical inferences about δ.

Psychosocial Outcomes in Patients With Endocrine Tumor Syndromes: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The combination of disease manifestations, the familial burden, and varying penetrance of endocrine tumor syndromes (ETSs) is unique. This review aimed to portray and summarize available data on psychosocial outcomes in patients with ETSs and explore gaps and opportunities for future research and care.

Measurement of human serum bile acids by gas–liquid chromatography

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1965
Gas–liquid chromatography (GLC) has been used for the separation and quantification of the bile acids of normal and abnormal serum. Recovery of added bile acids from serum samples during the combined processes of extraction with an anion exchanger ...
