Combining the Multi-Genetic Algorithm and Support Vector Machine for Fault Diagnosis of Bearings

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2018
Overstudy or understudy phenomena can sometimes occur due to the strong dependence of support vector machine (SVM) algorithms on particular parameters and the lack of systems theory relating to parameter selection. In this paper, a parameter optimization

Study on retaining width of waterproof coal pillar of F22 high angle normal fault in Qianyingzi Coal Mine

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2023
Confined water inrush caused by fault activation induced by coal mining under high in-situ stress is one of the main forms of water damage in deep mining.

Bridge-Pier Caisson foundations subjected to normal and thrust faulting:physical experiments versus numerical analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Surface fault ruptures can inflict serious damage to engineering structures built on or near them. In the earthquakes of Kocaeli, Chi-chi, and Wenchuan a number of bridges were crossed by the emerging normal or thrust faults suffering various degrees of ...

Glossary of normal faults

open access: yesJournal of Structural Geology, 2000
Increased interest in normal faults and extended terranes has led to the development of an increasingly complex terminology. The most important terms are defined in this paper, with original references being given wherever possible, along with examples of current usage.

Slip distributions on active normal faults measured from LiDAR and field mapping of geomorphic offsets: an example from L'Aquila, Italy, and implications for modelling seismic moment release [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Surface slip distributions for an active normal fault in central Italy have been measured using terrestrial laser scanning (TLS), in order to assess the impact of changes in fault orientation and kinematics when modelling subsurface slip distributions ...

隐伏正断层错动引发上覆土体破裂过程的三维数值模拟

open access: yesDizhen xuebao, 2019

Research on the Evolution and Damage Mechanism of Normal Fault Based on Physical Simulation Experiments and Particle Image Velocimetry Technique

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
The formation and evolution of (normal) fault affect the formation and preservation of some reservoirs, such as fault-block reservoirs and faulted reservoirs. Strain energy is one of the parameters describing the strength of tectonic activity.

Late Pleistocene Slip Rates on an Active Normal Fault in the Northwestern Ordos Block, China

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
The slip rates of normal faults on the northern margin of the Ordos Block are critical for understanding the deformation of the Ordos Block and adjacent areas.

WHAT IS THE MAIN FACTOR CONTROLLING THE SUKADANA BASALT IN THE SUMATRA BACK ARC?

open access: yesГеодинамика и тектонофизика, 2023
The mechanism of the presence of the Sukadana basalt in the back arc of Sumatra is still an enigma, especially since the Sukadana basalt has a wide coverage area in Sumatra Island and even the Sunda Arc. In this study, we used the published research data
