Pacemaker-Induced Ventricular Tachycardia
JAMA, 1976PARASYMPATHETIC action in influencing electrophysiologic events in the ventricles has been debated. We report a case of ventricular tachycardia produced by a transvenous catheter pacemaker. The tachycardia was twice converted by left carotid massage, implying parasympathetic action in the ventricle.

Correlates of spontaneous echo contrast in patients with mitral stenosis and normal sinus rhythm
American Heart Journal, 1994The purpose of this study was to evaluate the correlates of spontaneous echo contrast in mitral stenosis and normal sinus rhythm. Spontaneous echo contrast is associated with clot formation and embolic phenomena. It has been noted in conditions involving blood stasis, especially mitral stenosis and atrial fibrillation, but the correlates of spontaneous

Hyperkalemia-Induced Conversion of Chronic Atrial Fibrillation to Normal Sinus Rhythm;
Angiology, 1979The electrocardiographic manifestations of hyperkalemia have been well described. We report a patient with chronic congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation for 6 years, who converted to sinus rhythm during an episode of hyperkalemia. To our knowl edge, this is the first report of hyperkalemia- induced conversion of chronic atrial fibrilla ...
